I'm so blessed to have this family in my life. Lisa has been there for me in the good times and bad..since we were just little girls. She gave me my most precious gift in life...she took care of my children for me so I could spend the last days of my daddy's life with him. She also saved my life :) by taking me to the hospital when I was having an appendicitis. (she also almost beat up the front desk lady while at the hospital...but that is a different story.) Some months go by and we don't get to even talk but I always know it is the same friendship we've always had...nothing changes. Thank you for always being here for me. Love ya.

I can remember always having a camera with me from the time I was young. I loved capturing the moments I was living. I knew it would always be important for me to look back on my life and not only see my memories but truly feel them. I think that is why photography found me. It is true of me that you can find me most of the time with a camera in my hands. My friends and family understand that fully. I am grateful to capture and document the real moments of our lives. That is why my photography won't always be the "perfect" everyone looking at the camera pictures. I live for the moments when my clients forget I'm even there and just be. My daddy made me appreciate those kind of moments. His passing made me even more passionate about my photography. Grandparent pictures are one of my favorites! To see generation after generation and the love that lives forever honestly touches my soul. I would be honored to capture your memories for you. Thank you for letting me be a small part of your lives. I hope my photography will allow you to always feel the moments you live.

Morris family
Morris family... I am so happy Shelby brought you to me. It was so much fun to see the cousins together and the love they have for each other. (Thank you Lord for that cousin shot). You have beautiful children. They were so well behaved and so great at picture taking! (I think miss gabby would still be there smiling if she could...my kind of girl!) Thanks for putting up with my photographer craziness! You were a blessing to me. Be blessed!
friends.
I am SO glad I met you in the gym 3 years ago...miss shelby! You were just as I had imagined..so sweet and kind. I have LOVED getting to know your little family. (Yes, Jax...you still have my heart! ) Elliot...you are such a doll and knox (e)...how can anyone not love those eyes! Shelby, thanks for being my friend. So glad God brought you into my life. (but really...how can someone be THAT beautiful?)

THANK YOU...
I just want to take the time today to say THANK YOU to all the men and woman who have served and are serving our country. My daddy was in the army for over 30 years. He was a helicopter pilot. He was in the korean and Vietnam wars. Besides being a husband and dad...I can say his greatest joy was serving our country. When he passed away 5 years ago.. he was honored beautifully by soldiers at his funeral. In fact, the young man who handed my mom the flag at his casket had tears in his eyes for my dad's service. My daddy was buried in his full army attire with his medals. The last thing I ever told my daddy was to go ahead and go to heaven...that his helicopter was waiting on him. Today as I reflect on his service...I thank you men and women for your service. Thank you for putting your life on the line for mine. For my children. For my children's children. Because of you..I sit here safely in my house today. I am in awe of your service for me. You make our country beautiful. Thank you.
Daddy... Today..I hope you are flying the best helicopter ever.

Ok. I think this is the best picture.. and yes.. I know the sprinkler is in the shot. I know I am a professional photographer but give me a little break...I am also a mom (with a baby). What you don't see in this shot is that my nine month old is crawling around my feet (and I am desperately trying to keep sticks and leaves out of his mouth while taking the shot.) Also...I didn't even know my daughter had run up in the shot because as I was clicking I was looking down at...the baby. So thank you God for my kids. Thank you God for the sprinkler to remind me that the perfection isn't the shot...it is the life in the shot. Thank you God for the wind that let Jude's cape fly (or maybe he really is superman). Thank you God for a night to be together and see my super kids having fun with friends. They really are super kids. With every breath...I am grateful.

My sweet girl turned 6 on the 29th. How can it be that you are already 6? I just brought you home from the hospital. Your big brother just tried to feed you a cinnamon roll when you were 2 days old. You just said mama for the first time. You just turned one. You just...you just...you just... our our time is flying by. Don't think for one second I am taking it for granted. I look forward to every minute with you. You make me laugh everyday! You look up to your big bubba. You adore your baby bubba. Your heart belongs to daddy. YOu are our treasure. I will love you for the rest of my life ....and beyond. I will always love you Isabella D'ann.
